Smith Items

Player crafted weapon components, unlike crafted weapons or alchemy items, are not prefixed with the crafter's name. Consequently, they are identical to other items and will stack with other like-items within the player's inventory.

Smith Process

Item crafting requires the player to have the smith item skill of the item they desire to craft and the crafting components within their inventory. Crafting is initiated by consuming a Mini Furnace. Unlike crafted weapons, an anvil is not required, nor does it provide a success chance bonus. Additionally, each smith item skill has a skill specific success formula.

The Smith Steel formula is presented below.

success_chance = 30 ± 5 + 5 * smith_steel_lv + weaponry_research_lv + job_lv / 5 + dex / 10 + luk / 10 if baby: success_chance = success_chance * 7 / 10
