Detail

Grand Cross consists of 29 individual area of effects (AoEs). Each sub-AoE continuously scans for enemies. When an enemy is found, the sub-AoE inflicts holy mixed damage, grants a brief immunity Grand Cross, and increments its wave counter. When a sub-AoE wave counter reaches three, it despawns. Consequently, each sub-AoE may inflict damage up to three times.

Grand Cross damage consists of physical and magical components that are mitigated by DEF and MDEF respectively, however damage is inflicted as a single "magical" attack. The physical portion ignores enemy FLEE, does not benefit from Mastery or Forge ATK. Grand Cross self-inflicted damage is reduced by 50% (this is in addition to the Faith damage reduction).

User movement is disabled while Grand Cross is active. If the user is a Crusader, DEF by reduced 1/3rd during the cast channel. When cast by players, Grand Cross is a ranged attack. Grand Cross cannot be cast while the user has a Golden Thief Bug Card equipped and is not active while the user is actively blocking an attack, e.g. Guard. Despite being elemental damage, Grand Cross is subjected to the skill element modifier step (it is multiplied by the element attribute table twice).
